Established in the early 1970s, electrical equipment department is organized and built by Ministry of Coal Industry. It is the only specialized agency in China that engaged in the research and development of coal mine high-low pressure apparatus performance. Since the founding of electrical equipment department, many leading figures are gradually known by the people in this field. Experts Zhang Enrun, Xu Yingtian, Huo Yuchuan, Zhang Binjun are the experts in the field of electrical apparatus, electric leakage, power supply, they have participated in the edition of Three main Regulations of Coal Mine Underground Power Supply, involved in the research and development of BGP9L coal mine flame-proof vacuum power distribution unit, low voltage leakage unit and KBSG-T-400～1600/6ZY cylindrical mobile transformer substation. They also undertook the research of coal mine electrical equipment inspecting and finished the research of coal science found project Vacuum Electromagnetism Cut-off Power Distribution. These experts made great contribution to the development of coal mine underground power supply system.
    The finished project 《The test equipment of safety performance environment  for 60m3 explosion proof electric equipment》 awarded national energy improvement prize. The finished research project《The method and device of making and switching for 3.3 KV Ex electrical in coal mine》 awarded CCTEG scientific research prize.
